      Those of the great cities are rented from the Legates that the good people have left.
      Those of the parishes, are also partly, what depends more than the income, is paid by the richest until the end of the year that the sums that they will have paid are equal on all indifferently.
      All these poor hospitals are only for the poor sick of the place, or passers-by who cannot have means to be helped at home.
      There is a good doctor in each of them who does the three professions, namely of Doctor, Surgeon and Apothecary, especially since in this Kingdom such professions are not divided, as in truth as they only concern the same subject. And of this kind Hippocrates and Galen with all the other ancient Doctors practiced it. It is necessary that such Doctors, after having completed their course, have run for at least five or six years through the Kingdom and surrounding places, practicing medicine with the greatest people, from whom it is ordered to take a certain number and not to hide from them anything at all that they can recognize as being able to serve the human body, because Doctors who only have some theory
