[English Translation] cruel, he had him taken, and without wishing to listen to his defenses and reasons at all, had him whipped until he bled with some of his disciples, then persevering with invincible constancy to his holy exhortations, blessing the holy Name of Jesus Christ, had his head cut off. Thus by this means he sealed his ministry with glorious martyrdom, and attained even the rich prize promised to all true faithful who will have persevered in all pains, works and labors to magnify the holy Name of Jesus Christ and build up his Church.
