            Of the Air & of its disposition.

                        CHAP. II.

As this great Kingdom extends in its length
from the Antarctic Pole, to six degrees on
this side of the Tropic of Capricorn, it is
necessary that the climates vary in nature &
quality, & that they are thus varying & diverse,
that they also receive diverse temperments
& various influences; which render it all the
more delectable & rich, possessing by itself
alone everything that other countries only
have in part.
       The regions which are beyond the
fiftieth degree of the line are cold & dry,
rich in pastures, cattle, & of average
reports as to grains & fruits. Those which
