Notes:   In 1626 both Michele and his wife Margriete signed a notary document before Jan Mote of Leiden—Michele’s signature matches the one on the round-robin petition—the document is signed on two pages by Michelle, and Margaret gave her X. There are also several connections between du Pon and persons named Billet, this from a previous marriage. Leiden marriage record from 1597, August 18 for Anthony du Chatteau born Armentiers and Janne Fauvarcque born Bondue; one of the witnesses for the groom was "Michiel du Pondt" who was a cousin of the groom.

1592, April 18 At Leyden marriage banns were announce for Michiel du Pon, who was a native of "Leynteel bij Rijssel", and Marye Mahieu, who was a native of "Bonduy bij Rijssel". The witness for the groom was his cousin/nephew Passchier du Pon. The witnesses for the bride were her friend Pieter le Flon and her cousin/niece, Marie Mahieu. 1594, May 14 At Leyden marriage banns were announce for Dominick du Becour who was a native of "Pied d'Artois van Rhiou", and Magdaleijn Flameng who was a native of Bondu. The witness for the groom were Pieter du Puys, his master, and Franchoys du Luick, his friend. The witnesses for the bride were Marie Flamen, her sister–in–law, and Margriet Flameng. The marriage took place at the Waalse Kerk.

The witnesses for the groom were his friend, Michiel du pon, and his brother–in–law, Pieter Face [married 1604 Jannetgen de Sijde who was born at "Beysieu by Ryssel"]. The witnesses for the bride were her mother, Anthonette Bodeyn and her mother–in–law, Mary Bodeyn.
