AHDP9—Archives Historiques du Poitou, vol. 9.   Poitou (1880).    Table Analytique des Lettres de Besly,  Page XLI.   Another link to same source, HERE. [Note: the letter found here is the best clue we have to the author of Antangil, as well as the best evidence that points to LaMontagne being the author of this work. The letter points to the book likely being delivered to Besly by Andre Duchesne, who known as a "Tourengau", as it is likewise thought of the author of Antangil. Duchesne is thanked in the frontmatter of the work Recherches Curieuses Sur la Diversite des Langues et Religions, par toutes les principales parties du Monde , published in 1640, being authored by a person given as "Jean de la Montagne"; from this it would appear that this de la Montagne had some kind of relationship to Duchesne. The letter also gives us the only contemporary comments on Antangil.]
