      At three o'clock in winter, & four in summer, he returns to the temple as has been said above, where instead of him, one of his Doctors of Theology, or Suffragan, preaches like him in the morning, which finished, he returns to his lodgings, not only accompanied by his Clergy, but also by the most honorable of the people, where the table is set for twenty persons, both his friends, & the most honest people of the Clergy, where he speaks only of a few points in Theology, or of something which can edify those who are present, for the door is never closed at his meals, to those who wish to enter, so that in imitation of him they learn to set their tables, & to live frugally, with the modesty and sobriety required of pious & devout people.
      All the other Curates hold this rule, except that they have no music, the Curate and the people all singing together.
      That is as to the ceremonies and order. Let us now pass to the principal points of their Religion.
