Notes:   1600 marriage record gave the name of her step-mother, and that name matches the name of the woman who married a Philippe Maton in 1599. In the fall of 1624 the wife and three children of Abel died. **** In 1626 a Philippe Maton was a witness at the baptism of Marie Crepy, the daughter of Abel. According to two marriage records Mary's brother Jan Maton was born at "Menene" (Menen) and at "Meenene Vlaenderen".

1598, Sept. 4 Marriage Banns were posted for Jan de Crepy and Judick de Grave. It was given that the groom was born at "Bellenoys" and that the bride was born at Antwerpen. The witnesses for the groom was his friend Giellis van Houcke. The witnesses for the bride were her friends Anna Roseau and Margriete Jen.

1600, May 21 On Pentecost at the Waalse Vrouwkerk Abel Crespij received confession.

1600, July 22 Marriage Banns were posted for Abel de Curpij and Mary Maton. It was given that the groom was born at "Calis Vranckryck" and that the bride was born at "Gent". The witnesses for the groom were his cousin Jan de Curpy and his friend Jan Legleyn. The witnesses for the bride were her stepmother Phillippote Caron and her friend Mary le Ruytere. The marriage took place at the Waalse Kerk.

1601, June 4 At the Waalse Vrouweskerk of Leiden, Elizabet le Clercq, the daughter of Elizabet de le Plancque and Samuel le Clercq, was baptized. The Witnesses were Abel de Crepij, Caterinne Bailleu, Jan Quasie and Peronne de le Plancque.

1604, Nov. _(?) At the Waalse Vrouweskerk of Leiden, Marie, the daughter of Jean Maton, was baptized. The Witnesses were Marie Maton, Abel de Querxi and Marie Rende.

1613, Sept. 26 At the Waalse Kerk in Utrecht, Anne de Crepy, the daughter of Marie Maton and Abel de Crepy was baptized. The Witnesses were Gerrit Henricks and Marie de Halijn.

1615, June At the Waalse Vrouwkerk Abel Crespij coming from Utrecht, through "Receus & Tesmoignage" was received into the Leyden church.

1618, Nov. 21 At Amsterdam Abel de Cripi appeared before a notary and caused to be produced a "Procuratie gepasseert". [NOTE, This document is termed a "Machtiging" which is the statement conferring the power to perform a factual act on behalf of the issuer of the authorization.]

1619, Nov. 3 At the Waalse Vrouweskerk of Leiden, Susanne de Crepij, the daughter of Marie Matton and Abel de Crepij, was baptized. The Witnesses were Pierre de la Court, Jenne de Crepij and Marie Matton.

1624, Sept. 29 A child of "Abel de Carpijn(?) was buried. It was given that the residence of the deceased was at Langebrug.

1624, Oct. 17 A child of "Abel Kerpijn(?) was buried. It was given that the residence of the deceased was at Diefsteeg.

1624, Oct. 23 The wife of "Abel Cerpijn(?) was buried. It was given that the residence of the deceased was at Langeburg.

1624, Nov. 1 A child of "Abel Kerpin(?) was buried. It was given that the residence of the deceased was at Langeburg.

1625, Jan. 31 Marriage Banns were posted for Abel de Crepyn, a "passementwerker, and Jaecquemyne de Lano. It was given that the groom was the widower of Mary Maton and that the bride was the widow of Martijn Claes [Marain le Clercq?].

1626, Jan. 18 At the Waalse Vrouwekerk of Leiden, Marie Crepy, the daughter of Jaquemine de Lannoy and Abel Crepy was baptized. The Witnesses were Philippe Maton and Anthoinette Marliere.

1627, Feb. 6 At the Waalse Vrouwekerk of Leiden, Susaane Crepij, the daughter of Jaquemine de Lannoij and Abel Crepij was baptized. The Witnesses were Marguerite Vaillant and Pierre du Puis.

1628, April 9 At the Oude Waalse Kerk in Amsterdam, Anne Crepij, the daughter of Jacquemine de Lanoij and Abel Crepij was baptized.

1631, Jan. 12 At the Oude Waalse Kerk in Amsterdam, Jean de Crepij, the son of Jacquelinne de Lannoij and Abel de Crepij was baptized.
