lodge with their Dizaines living together at the common expense, just as if they were brothers obeying their Dizainier, as to their fathers, carrying themselves in prosperity and adversity with common fortune. Everything that the Dizainier commands is done without any question, whether in what depends on the Economy of the lodging or on the issue of the war. Every morning these Dizainiers with their soldiers go to greet their Centenaries, as much to honor him, as to learn from him what will be necessary to do the following day: The Centeniers do the same to the Milleniers, going to accompany them to the General's tent to hear their orders upon leaving there. As for the General, if there are no affairs that keep him too busy, or if he must leave during the day, he takes a tour through the main streets, and all around the camp to see for himself if everything is in good order. This done, he goes to dine, and with him some Councilors, Milleniers, and others of the most conspicuous of the army, for his table is always filled with sixty table napkins, and when he is not eating there, they do not fail to be just as well served, being held by one of the lords of the council of war.
