which create five wide & long walkways, both for summer exercises, such as for promenades.
       Beyond these walkways, there is yet another space also reigning all around the walkways, of three hundred feet wide, without there being anything, in order to do the exercises in good weather in the open, to play & to pass the time.
       Along & all around such a space are built large galleries forty feet wide, being supported from the outside on the walls of the enclosure of the Academy, twenty feet high & four wide, & from the inside strong columns of stone, thirty feet apart from each other without being planked or paneled, but only covered with strong slate, the said galleries not being for parade & ornament, but only for doing exercises when in bad weather one cannot remain outside.
       The entire enclosure of this Academy can contain in length approximately one thousand & five hundred and eight feet in length, & of width eight hundred & sixty seven.
       Through the middle of the crossing point of this enclosure, there is a magnificent gateway in the form of a triumphal arch with eight beautiful large & round
