       In the middle of this courtyard, there is a beautiful large fountain, which is decorated with six bronze statues represented by naked women, well-proportioned, who throw water from their breasts, both for convenience, & for the recreation & pleasure of the sight; the said courtyard is all around paved only the width of twenty feet, with eight paths of the same width which are also paved, coming from the four corners & from the middle, which all correspond to a square of cut stones which is around the fountain of the same width, & in the squares & intervals that the paths make, are planted various beautiful shrubs, green at all times, such as cypresses, laurels, myrtle, boxwood, holly, & savigners,[2] & below, small compartments of boxwood at ground level, all to better uplift the spirit & the sight of the sick.
       The cemetery is outside between the walls of the garden & the Academy, out of sight of the sick, for fear of dispiriting them, having four hundred paces around, enclosed & shielded by walls.
       That's it for the lodgings, places of exercises, stables, hospitals & cemeteries.
