adorned with beautiful feathers: Another a rondache & a cuirass: The third one the brassard & the tasset, whose arms are gilded, engraved & raised embossed, garnished at intervals with a few precious & valuable gems. Six paces behind follows the Majesty of the King walking solemnly in the manner that we have depicted him. After him follow two by two the hundred Senators, the Viceroy being in the first rank & the others as they join without any preference. Close to these, or at a short distance walk the deputies of the Provinces, who are called the Council of States, each with their banners in front of them, carried by their people, on which are depicted the arms & mottos of the Provinces. After comes the Master of Ceremonies accompanied by six Officers, who march sometimes in front, sometimes at the side to make each march in good order. At the end, to close the train, follow very tightly a thousand other soldiers marching in the same order as the first. Thus in this sumptuous & magnificent train parades this great King, where he pleases. If |
